Exploring History: Arbeit Macht Frei

Arbeit Macht Frei translates to “Work sets you free”, and is known for appearing on the entrance to various concentration camps. Arbeit Macht Frei the play explores the journey to a concentration camp, and entrance to a gas chamber. Suitable for mature learners only, this session combines History with Drama and allows participants to gain an emotional and historical understanding of one of the most prominent historical events. Participants will apply Brechtian Drama techniques such as Multi-roling, Narration and Placards to bring this play to life.
