Exploring History: The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
This session explores an unusual friendship between Bruno, the son of a Nazi concentration officer, and Shmuel, a Jewish child held in the concentration camp. Perfect for linking in with your English or History curriculum, this session encourages participants to explore the events of World War Two from the point of view of a child. Participants will explore sections of the script to piece together Bruno and Schmuel’s friendship in the most unlikely of circumstances, using key Performance skills such as Facial Expressions, Vocal Tone and Audience Awareness.
